‍Unfortunately, you cannot have your existing Trimlight system removed and used again on another home. Trimlight is designed to be a permanent fixture on the home and the channel is specifically ordered to match the color, style, and footage of your existing home so it would not meet the criteria to be utilized on another structure.

Our patented channel allows us to install our lights on any roofline or structure. We use recycled aluminum to prevent from rust or corrosion and is enamel-baked to prevent from fading and chipping over time. This channel is color-matched to any existing trim color and is installed on the underside of the eave, behind the gutters and trim. This allows it to be practically invisible during the day and unnoticeable to those passing by!

Our app is extremely user-friendly and compatible with both Android and Apple devices. The app comes with over 180 presets, preconfigured holiday patterns, and daily timers. For those who want complete customization, users can also set custom sequences and make their own color combos. The beauty of our system is you can set it and forget it!

Trimlight comes with a Lifetime Product Warranty. The lifetime of Trimlight depends on how often it is being used. On average Trimlight will last between 20-30 years (assuming it is only used during nighttime hours). If Trimlight is constantly left on day and night, it will significantly reduce the lifetime of the lights.

Trimlight provides an industry leading lifetime product warranty. This warranty covers any components of the Trimlight system for the life of those components. When used properly the components in the Trimlight system should last 20 to 30 years. If the system is left on 24 hours per day this greatly diminishes the lifetime of the product.

Hardly any! Each Trimlight bulb uses 0.6 watts of energy. A 200 foot system would then use 120-400 watts. That means you would have to run your Trimlight system for nearly 3-8 hours before you’re billed $0.06 – $0.20! In comparison, incandescent Christmas lights use anywhere from 1000-1400 watts for the same number of lights!

‍The answer is sometimes. If the glitch or fault occurs within the RGB components then it will only affect that light. The light may turn a different color or shut off completely. If the glitch or fault occurs within the data wire of the affected light, it may affect all the lights after it in line. Either way it is a quick and simple repair, reach out to your local dealer and they will swap out the affected light which will correct any issue.

Typically, LED diodes with lenses can become faded or damaged due to constant sun exposure over time. However, Trimlight’s residential lighting has no lens or covering, just the direct LED shows out of the channel, which means Trimlight LEDs will not fade, get cloudy, or become discolored over time like many other exterior LEDs. Furthermore, Trimlight residential LEDs face down and below the channel which further protects them from constant sun exposure.

With RGB lights, pure white uses a combination of red, green, and blue to create the color. Therefore, the pure white setting may appear to have a blue hue, some people see the hue and some do not. We recommend looking at pure white from the sidewalk or street before trying to adjust the setting. If you still want to take the blue out, you can go into the custom color setting, type in 255 in each box below the corresponding R-G-B. From there, slowly decrease the number in the blue category until you see a white light you like. You can also use google to search for lists of RGB codes for different white hues. The Trimlight app includes a standard warm white and standard cool white option as well as the ability to customize shades any way you’d like!

Yes, we have a preset for warm white on the custom color palette screen. Click on the color circle labeled WW which is the first circle on the second row. In addition to long pressing a custom color circle and dragging your finger across the color spectrum, you can also type in RGB codes directly into the boxes below the R-G-B settings. For a list of custom color RGB codes to input, use google to search for RGB color code charts.

Yes, from the color palette screen simply long press any color circle outside the gray line box and a window will pop up giving you the option to slide your finger through the color spectrum to a specific custom color. You can also type in RGB codes for different color options. Then click OK and that custom color will be saved in that color circle.

The cost to install our Trimlight system varies based on size and scope of your project (i.e. linear footage, architectural elements of the roof line, aerial equipment needed, etc.). Our minimum Trimlight installation is $2,000 with the front side of the average home typically in the $2,000-$3,000 range.
